In an effort to educate San Diegans about poverty in local communities, Cash Crop Clothing will host a clothing drive on Saturday, September 20. The clothing drive is the second one hosted by CCC and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at CCC’s local office on Midway. All clothing items will be recycled via donation to the San Diego Rescue Mission, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving San Diego’s homeless. “We were able to get a lot of positive feedback from our first clothing drive that we wanted to host another one. CCC is confident that our second drive will go just as well, and will encourage even more San Diegans to take an active part in the community,” CCC President Dan Eger said. CCC will give anyone that brings 10 pieces of reusable clothing a CCC shirt specifically made for the event and a 20 percent off coupon for its Web store. Other small CCC tokens of appreciation will be offered at the drive. CCC was established in Pittsburgh in 1999.
